This is one of those topics that older eve players just assume everyone knows. They forget the first time they were told off for mining the same rock as someone else..

We thought it would be a good idea just to remind everyone about mining field Etiquette and additional LSE rules.

  1. Do not mine a rock another member is mining. There are plenty of rocks to go around.
  2. Please do not cherry pick. This means you should mine all ores evenly. Especially if you have multiple miners on field.
  3. Mobile Tractor Units – While I use one myself from time to time to get that hard to reach salvage that no one wants. I use it sparingly.
If a MTU is left out on the field and you go afk or offline and it is causing trouble for other players, It may be removed and reimbursed.
Better to have a tractor unit in a high slot on your ship.
  4. Salvage – Salvage belongs to who ever killed it. If you see that it just sits there for 10-15 mins then you can take it, but If some one is tractoring a wreck in, do not send drones over to get the salvage because that is stealing. True Sansha and the ore haulers belong to whoever killed it; please dont pinch those.
